Screen Details
Your image, pre-burned on a high quality aluminum frame, ready to print! Our 20"x24" screens have a 12"x16" Image Area, and are the most common size for the majority of professional manual presses. If a larger image is needed, please view our larger screens.
Selecting Mesh Count
General Tip: Lower Mesh = More ink, less detail - Higher Mesh = More detail, less ink
- 60-90 Mesh - Most commonly used for thick specialty plastisol inks, such as metallics, shimmers, reflectives, puffs, etc.
- 110 Mesh - Most common mesh count for printing with white plastisol ink. Not recommended for water base inks.
- 160 Mesh - Our most popular mesh count. Works well with a wide variety of ink types and substrates.
- 200-230 Mesh - Most commonly used for high detail artwork. Also great for printing with water based inks on wood or paper.
- 280-305 Mesh - Used for super fine detail artwork, half tones, CMYK process printing, as well as solvent and water base inks.

choosing the right mesh count.
Selecting Emulsion Type
The standard TX-D emulsion we use on our pre-burned screens holds up extremely well to plastisol, water based, and discharge inks. If you are using solvent, enamel or uv inks, please choose the option for HXT emulsion instead.
Artwork Upload
After you place your order, there will be an upload form for your artwork on the confirmation page. If for whatever reason this form doesn't show up, please upload your artwork
here referencing your order number in the subject line, or email the artwork directly to [email protected]
When you upload your artwork, there will be an option to request a free digital proof. If this option is selected, we will send you a digital representation of the screen prior to burning and shipping it out. We allow up to two additional revision mockups if you'd like anything changed. Further revision mockups will incur an additional $5 fee each.
Due to the program used to ouput films to our film printer the final film output/screen size may vary by 1/8". By submitting your artwork you acknowledge and agree to these sizing adjustments that may occur.
*Please refer to our
artwork requirements before sending us your artwork.
If you need help prepping your files, our artwork services can assist you with vectorizing, color separations, digitizing and more.

Yes, all of our screens ship pre-stretched on high quality aluminum frames. Most of our screens are stretched to around 20 Newtons. When you receive the screen, simply remove from box, put on your press, tape the edges, and start printing.
If you are not sure what size screen or mesh count you need, we recommend you contact one of our sales reps or email us at art@anthemprintingsf.com for assistance prior to placing your order. Any screen that needs to be swapped out after an order is placed is subject to a $10 re-stocking fee.
We do! Depending on the size of your screen, we either place the films in a large manilla folder taped to the protective pad on top of the screen, or rolled in Kraft paper taped underneath the bottom screen.
Our 20"x24" screens have a max Image Area of 12"x16". This is the total space available for your artwork to fit in to, and should be the canvas size of the artwork you upload with your order.
The screen dimensions include the actual frame, which consists of
1.5" walls. This means a 20"x24" screen actually has a 17"x21" inner dimension. Your image should be at least 2.5" away from these inner walls of the frame to allow room for your squeegee, ink, and areas of mesh that are too taught, which brings the max printable area of a 20"x24" screen down to 12"x16". These same basic principles apply to all other screen frame sizes.
Absolutely! You can place as many images as you want in the allotted "Image Area" for your screen size. Just keep in mind that the more images you have burned on the screen, the more taping you will have to do and the more difficult it will be to print with.
Of course! Simply add the amount of screens required to your cart (for example, a 3 color design requires 3 screens), and we'll take care of the rest. We make sure the color layers get burned precisely in the same spot on the screens to make registration easy on your end, and we also add top and bottom registration marks by default.
If using water based ink, simply wash the ink off with water immediately after use. If using plastisol, use an ink degradent such as our EnviroWipe.
As long as the screen is used and cared for properly, the burned image should withstand thousands of prints. Use screen chemicals sparingly, keep mesh away from sharp objects, don't scrub screen with extremely rough surfaces, etc.
Orders placed before 2pm (CT) are ready to ship the following business day, as long as the print ready artwork is also received by 2pm. Please note this only applies to screens that are in stock at our warehouse. If you are able to add the screen to your cart and check out, the screen is in stock.
If your screen arrived with a tear, please notify us within 48 hours of receipt along with a picture of the torn screen, and we can send out a replacement right away. After 48 hours of receipt, we are unable to offer any replacements or credits.
Pre-burned screens are subject to a $20 cancellation fee per screen if they have already been coated with emulsion. Screens ordered before 4pm PST are coated that night, so please let us know right away if you need to cancel an order to avoid the cancellation fee.
Out of Stock Screen Request FormIf we don't have the quantity of screens you need in stock, please fill out this form and we'll add more to our next order. We receive screen shipments weekly, and may require a 50% deposit on bulk orders.
